No child should be deliberately denied their father
Family First congratulates Sam Kerr and Kristie Mewis on the birth of their son and wishes them well as they begin their parenting journey.
But amid the joy, it must be said — no adult, no matter how loved or celebrated, has the right to deliberately bring a child into the world knowing that child will be deprived of a father.
Children are not lifestyle accessories. Every child has the right, wherever possible, to know and be raised by their biological mother and father.
Assisted reproductive arrangements that intentionally exclude one of these parents, as appears to be the case here, violate that right.
Family First believes that children’s needs must come before adult desires.
This is not about attacking individuals—it’s about protecting children’s rights.
Australians must have the courage to speak out when cultural elites normalise practices that compromise the rights of children in the name of adult choice.
A compassionate society doesn’t just celebrate love — it defends what every child needs most: a mum and a dad.
