Watching Marco Rubio turn the tables on a wannabe gotcha moment about Gaza a year ago, coupled with JD Vance’s many similar masterful responses turning such moments into slam dunk wins, has been inspiring to say the least.
One can only hope our leaders are paying attention…but it seems they are doing the exact opposite.
It started with Crisafulli, continued with Dutton and then last week Vincent Tarzia in South Australia joined the chorus of Liberal leaders banning their MPs from discussing aborton.
These three men remind us yet again how weak the Liberal party has become and how we desperately need a party like Family First in our parliaments.
When given the opportunity to show us their steel and expose the fraud of abortion, they go to water.
Exposing late term abortion, in all its bloody brutality, should be a very easy battle to take on.
Instead, these weaklings decide to go silent and then order their subordinates to do the same.
Tarzia even threatened that any member who dared to raise a private bill on abortion would not be welcome in his cabinet or shadow cabinet, following the Federal election.
He described the Ben Hood bill, which advocated for babies above 28 weeks gestation to be afforded the chance to live (and lost by a single vote incidentally) a ‘distraction’.
I wonder if he has ever seen an ultrasound of a baby at 28 weeks?
Or met a person who was born at 28 weeks? …they walk amongst us everywhere.
Has anybody in the Liberal Party for that matter?
One baby a week survives their abortion and is left to die in horrific circumstances as attested by midwife, Louise Adsett.
At the same time, one woman a week loses her life to domestic violence.
One is considered a ‘distraction’ the other an ‘epidemic’.
The difference in response to both of these tragedies, could not be any further apart.
These Liberal Party leaders, prove yet again, that their party has truly lost its way.
For them, abortion, is just like any other matter and their position is simply a calculation about votes.
Not so for us at Family First.
This is quite literally about life and death and our Senate candidates are not for turning on this.
We cannot let this barbarity continue unchallenged by convictionless politicians for decades immemorial.
Family First needs lower house candidates to support our Senate candidates bid for the federal parliament.
There are only two essential requirements.
That you support our central policies on life, faith, freedom and family and that you are person of good character.
If this is you - Family First's volunteer Campaign Directors can provide more information.
In the meantime, please feel free to share Louise Adsett’s testimony about what is happening in our hospitals as far and wide as possible.
Maybe someone in one of our parliaments somewhere will decide to go full Rubio and turn this whole thing on its head before it slides completely out of sight.
We can but hope.
One thing is sure, we cannot allow our major parties to be rewarded at the ballot box for their unwavering, steely determination and commitment to do absolutely nothing.
