Alana Bartlett, Candidate for Wollongong

Wollongong is incredibly close to Alana’s heart. As a lifelong local, a school teacher, and a mother of four, Wollongong is where her home is. Together with her husband, a local small business owner, they have built their lives in the local area.

Alana is running as a Family First candidate to be a steady, supportive voice for everyday working families. Right now, life feels overwhelming. Parents are working harder than ever to manage the household budget, often sacrificing precious family time just to get by. At the same time, many feel sidelined when it comes to their children's education.

She believes schools should focus on foundational learning. Deeper, personal conversations about values and complex concepts belong around the family kitchen table. Parents have the primary responsibility to guide their children, and Alana believes that role must be respected.

Guided by her faith, Alana is determined to protect freedom of religion and freedom of speech for everyone.

A stronger community is built when families come first. That is why Alana is standing in this election—to bring a mother's heart and common sense to the NSW Parliament.
