Ren Casonato, Candidate for Ivanhoe

Ren lives in the Ivanhoe electorate and is a Catholic primary school teacher with a corporate background in compliance and operations. Holding strong compassion for life, Ren has upheld the privilege of caring for palliative family members in the last stages of their lives. With these first-handed experiences and family-orientated values, Ren is actively open to listening to the voice of the local people within the Ivanhoe Electorate. 

Simultaneously, whilst in her penultimate year of law school, Ren is also focussed on raising her young children and wider family with the support of her husband, who both uphold strong Catholic values. 

Some of Ren’s political interests include; preserving Christian faith-based education, supporting Christian faith-based family values and ethics, protecting parent/guardian rights, the pro-life policy, income splitting and amending the child care subsidy to support best care options, (which also includes care provided by a family member/guardian and/or other options). Ren wishes to help protect Australia’s formative purist Christian values, which are a fabric of our country, Australia. The country many people call “the lucky country”.

By advocating for this deeply rooted Christian landscape within Australia, Ren predominantly advocates for a safer future for everyone, including in particular; the elderly, her own children, all children growing up in this generation, as well as those from the generations to come.
