Nancy Croes is a recent migrant to Australia and has been living in Victoria for about 11 years. She was born and raised on a small Caribbean island called Aruba. She has been a Christian since she was a young child and has been serving in her local church. She is a wife and self-employed as a pet carer, and as a Sales and Marketing Consultant.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina with a degree in Communication and a concentration in Public Relations. Prior to moving to Australia, she worked in Communication and Marketing roles in various organisations in Aruba.
Nancy strongly believes in supporting Victorian families, especially children. She has been very concerned about the Safe Schools/Respectful Relationships program in Victorian schools. “This program needs to be changed dramatically, or better yet, eliminated altogether,” says Croes. “It is not a safe program for innocent young children. It has completely inappropriate sexual content, and turns teachers into unsafe adults by asking them to do boundary-crossing exercises with the children. Our children deserve better! Our families deserve better!”
Nancy believes that the current anti-Christian climate in Victoria has to be turned around. She wants to encourage the local churches to not give up, but to vote according to their values. “For far too long, we as Christians have been a misused political demographic. We have been betrayed by both Labor and the Liberals. Politicians have pretended to care about our concerns to have the freedom to live out our Christian faith without government interference. We now have an opportunity in Victoria to give a voice to our concerns. If you are a person of faith, I want to encourage you to vote your values.”
Nancy wants to see Victoria thrive once again. She believes Victoria should be a place where businesses are supported rather than used as a cash cow for the government. She wants Melbourne to once again be a safe and strong city. “We cannot save our state if we continue trusting the same old parties with the same old lies. And we certainly cannot save our state if we allow people who love the darkness and hate the light to govern us. But we have a fighting chance if we get behind people of faith and strong personal conviction,” she says.
Nancy believes this upcoming election in Victoria is crucial to save our state. “Now is the time to make a difference in our state,” says Croes. “If you are a person of faith, if you want to see families thrive in Victoria once again, if you want our state to grow its economy and become a place where businesses and everyday families can prosper and flourish, vote Family First in this election! Don’t sit on the sidelines, but join us in the fight.”
