Originally from Italy, Vincenzo has proudly called Australia home since 2014. He lives in Clyde North with his wife and young son and is deeply grateful for the opportunities Australia has given his family. He believes the best way to give back is through service, community leadership and standing up for the people who call this area home.
Professionally, Vincenzo works in Aged Care and Community Services, supporting older Australians, people living with disability, carers and vulnerable families. Every day he helps people navigate complex challenges, advocates for better outcomes and works to ensure they are treated with dignity, compassion and respect. His experience in case management, community services and family support has given him firsthand insight into the pressures facing local residents.
Outside his profession, Vincenzo has dedicated many years to volunteering and community leadership. As President of Uniti in Australia, he has organised community programs, supported families in need and brought people together across cultural backgrounds. His commitment has been recognised with the Victorian Multicultural Commission Excellence in Community Response and Recovery Award and the Jewish Care Victoria Social Responsibility Award.
Together with his family, Vincenzo also operates a small family business, giving him a practical understanding of the challenges faced by local businesses, working families and those struggling with the rising cost of living.
As a resident of Clyde North, Vincenzo has seen the rapid growth of the Berwick District. He understands the opportunities this growth brings, but also the challenges it has created—including traffic congestion, pressure on roads and infrastructure, community safety, healthcare access, housing affordability and the increasing cost of living.
Rather than assuming what people want, Vincenzo believes leadership begins with listening. Throughout his campaign he has been meeting residents, speaking with local families and conducting community surveys to ensure that the priorities of the people—not political insiders—shape the issues he will fight for.
If elected, Vincenzo's commitment is simple: to be a strong local voice who listens first, represents honestly and works tirelessly to deliver practical solutions that make Berwick an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
"I don't want to tell our community what it needs. I want our community to tell me, so I can take your voice to Parliament."
– Vincenzo De Paolis
