Anna Dobie, Candidate for Glen Waverley

Anna Dobie is a fifth-generation Australian and lifelong Melburnian. 

Anna grew up in a Christian family and loves to serve in her local church. Anna’s motivation to stand in the election is to speak up for vulnerable people, strengthen families and restore hope for the next generation.

As a mother who homeschooled her three children, and as a daughter who cared for her elderly parents at home, she brings patience, resourcefulness and an understanding of the responsibilities of family life.

Anna’s working life has also centred on caring for others. Her experience spans hairdressing/beauty therapy and remedial massage in aged care settings, salons and day spas. These roles have taught her to listen carefully, connect with people from different backgrounds and respond to needs with respect.

Anna believes in the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death and believes our laws should reflect that commitment.

She stands for freedom of speech and faith, and believes faith-based schools should be free to practise their beliefs without government interference.

Anna wants young people to be able to look to the future with confidence - to have the opportunity to own a home, raise a family and build a secure future.

Warm, approachable and guided by clear convictions, Anna is committed to representing Glen Waverley with integrity, compassion and common sense. 

Anna wants to be a voice for families who feel unheard and help build a Victoria where people are safe, valued and free.
