Gary Ong is a dedicated educator, community volunteer, and proud resident of Chisholm. A primary specialist teacher at an independent school and a former IT professional, Gary brings a wealth of experience in both education and technology.

Married for 29 years and a devoted father of three, Gary is passionate about strengthening families, supporting quality education, and fostering a strong, values-driven community. Born in Australia with Southeast Asian heritage, he has spent his entire life in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, giving him a deep understanding of the people and challenges in the electorate.

An active volunteer at his church, Gary believes in servant leadership and leading by example. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, watching AFL, playing badminton, and taking his dog for walks. Now running as the Family First candidate for Chisholm, he is committed to serving with integrity, standing up for strong family values, and ensuring that the voices of local residents are heard in government.
