Her Christian faith underpins her life and work. Over the past six years, Gushiv has been actively involved in her local church community across the Ballina Shire and Byron Bay region, serving in prayer ministry, children’s programs, connect groups, and community outreach. She holds a Master of Bible Theology and is currently undertaking formal ministerial credentialing.
 
Alongside her community work, Gushiv founded an online organic skincare business using Australian native ingredients, reflecting her commitment to health, sustainability, and supporting local enterprise.
 
Gushiv chose to stand with Family First because its values align with her deeply held beliefs: protecting the sanctity of life, strengthening families, defending freedom of faith, and upholding the rights of parents. She sees these not as political positions, but as enduring principles.
