Jo Garcia is a passionate Australian, dedicated to our nation’s lifestyle of freedom and peace. With a deep commitment to conservative family values, economic growth, healthcare, traditional education, and social justice, Jo believes in creating a future where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.

Born and raised in Melbourne, Jo has always been driven by a desire to make a positive impact. After training and working as a Registered Nurse and Midwife, Jo has worked in a variety of roles including  Small Business Management,  Real Estate Sales,  Retail Customer Service and a Pastoral Role in Community Outreach.  Through her varied work and many voluntary roles over the years, Jo has gained a deep understanding of the challenges facing everyday people, socially and economically.

In addition to her professional work, Jo is actively involved in the life of her family and her community. Jo has eight children and four grandchildren and she sees each one of them as a blessing from God. She cares deeply about protecting human life at all stages and preserving the family unit, which she believes is the basic building block of society.  Jo’s faith in God motivates her to serve her family, together with her husband, Adrian, and to work for a better future for all Australian families.

This includes:

  • Improving Education standards by focusing our school curriculum on basic numeracy and literacy
  • Economic Relief for families through working to reduce energy costs, and utilising our nation’s natural resources for our nation, as well as advocating for Income Splitting to alleviate tax pressures on families
  • Advocating for freedom of speech and freedom of religion
  • Healthcare and dental care that is accessible to and affordable for all

Jo is currently involved in her local church and loves to reach out to those who are isolated and lonely. She has worked in Community Outreach programs to help the homeless, and meal programmes for those who are struggling financially and socially. She is known for her honest, straight forward approach, her “can do” attitude and her warm, friendly smile.

With truth and integrity at the forefront, Jo is ready to stand for the seat of Gellibrand and to commit to fighting for the best interests of the people of her beloved Australia.
