John Bennett, Candidate for Spence

Father, grand-father, and now great-grand-father, John is certainly a family man, with 57 years of marriage behind him.

John has strong Defence ties. John worked at DSTO Salisbury (now known as DSTG Edinburgh) for 34 years, including 22 years as an electronic engineer. He also served for more than a decade in the RAAF Reserve, and another decade in the Australia Air Force Cadets as an Officer.

Later he embarked upon a career as a professional counsellor in private practice. Working in association with local churches John helped numerous people across a wide range of circumstances deal with the issues life brings.

With that heart of service, and heart for family, John is keen to apply his wisdom as a candidate for Family First. Never one to take a backward step, he remains committed to the community and serving others.
