Kara-Lee Richards, Candidate for Lane Cove

Kara-Lee is convinced strong families are the foundation of a strong society — and families deserve a voice in decisions made in NSW.

As a mother of two adult children, Kara-Lee understands the importance of families and communities. Her commitment to both is reflected in her work mentoring young people and supporting women facing unplanned pregnancies, alongside her professional career in communications.

For Kara-Lee, the family is where we first learn responsibility, compassion, resilience, and respect for others. Strong families build stronger communities, yet she believes the interests of families are too often an afterthought in government decision-making.

At a time when household budgets are under pressure and parents are increasingly concerned about the world their children will inherit, Kara-Lee believes NSW needs representatives prepared to put families back at the centre of public policy.

She is standing with Family First to defend parents' rights, support families doing it tough, and ensure government considers a simple but important question when making decisions: is this good for families?

Kara-Lee, has lived in Lane Cove electorate for 20 years. She is warm and approachable and genuinely wants to be a strong voice for the families and communities of Lane Cove in NSW Parliament.
