Katie Lush is a wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, lawyer and librarian so she understands that families are not only the bedrock of society but also need strong voices to fight for their survival.

For over two decades, Katie was focused full time on raising six amazing children. During this time, she worked tirelessly as a community volunteer in her local church, sporting clubs and broader community associations.

Katie has lived by the philosophy of putting family first and has seen first-hand the incredible blessings that result from building a strong, godly family. She is now passionate about extending that blessing to all our nation's families by fighting for policies and legislation that build up and support the family unit.

In 2021 she was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland as a lawyer after completing the required academic studies. While studying law Katie became even more aware of the legal issues faced by families and faith communities. In particular, the enormous influence that woke activists were cultivating with an ideology that is fundamentally opposed to faith communities.

Katie currently works at a Christian school and is seeing firsthand what happens when woke activists use their influence against Christians.

“I believe strongly in Christian education and a parent’s right to choose what values their children will be taught. Having been involved in Christian education since 2001 as either a parent or a staff member, I have experienced personally the amazing work of Christian schools and I will fight for their right to uphold a biblical world view.”
