Keith Meure, Candidate for Point Cook

Keith Meure is Family First’s candidate for Point Cook and is proud to stand for a party committed to defending Judeo-Christian values, strengthening families and protecting the freedoms that allow communities to flourish.

Keith is standing to give local families a strong voice in the Victorian Parliament. He is a married father of two, a long-time Point Cook community member and an active leader at Lightpoint Church, where he serves as a worship leader and children’s ministry leader. Point Cook is a fast-growing outer south-west electorate, and Keith believes its families deserve representation that reflects their values and priorities.

Keith has worked in film visual effects for 25 years, including with Framestore Melbourne, and brings experience in media, technology, communication and public engagement. His background in theatre, acting and worship leadership has given him confidence in public settings and a genuine ability to connect with people from many backgrounds.

Keith’s motivation for entering politics comes from his Christian faith. He believes the family is the foundational institution of society, that children deserve protection and strong parental support, and that Victorians should be free to live, speak and worship according to their convictions.

Why Keith Is Standing:

  • Keith is standing for Family First because he believes Victorian families are under increasing pressure. He is particularly concerned about parental rights in education, the protection of life from conception to natural death, freedom of speech, religious liberty and the ability of families to raise children according to their values.
  • He believes public education should serve parents and children - not political ideology. Keith supports greater transparency for parents, age-appropriate education and a school system that respects the role of families in shaping children’s character and beliefs.
  • He also wants to defend freedom of conscience and religious expression. Keith believes that no Australian should be intimidated, silenced or penalised for holding Christian convictions or speaking respectfully in the public square.

Keith’s Priorities:

  • Protecting families and parental rights, ensuring parents are informed and respected in decisions affecting their children.
  • Defending life from conception to natural death, with compassion and conviction.
  • Upholding freedom of speech and religion so that Christians and people of faith can participate confidently in public life.
  • Improving transparency and accountability in education, particularly around curriculum, gender ideology and age-appropriate content.
  • Strengthening the local community by listening to Point Cook families and representing their concerns in Parliament.
