Michael Brown, Legislative Council Candidate for Victoria

Michael (Mike) Brown is a Victorian husband, father of seven, grandfather of nine, former small business owner and long-time community advocate, with more than 40 years’ experience in engineering, business, real estate and community leadership.

Raised in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, Mike has lived and worked across the Eastern Metropolitan Region, from Mount Waverley to Lilydale. He understands firsthand the pressures facing families, small businesses and communities—and what it takes to keep them strong.

Throughout his career, Mike has helped thousands of Victorians buy homes, build businesses and secure their future. He believes government should back people who take responsibility, reward hard work and manage taxpayers’ money with discipline and transparency—not waste it.

As a husband, father and grandfather, Mike knows the decisions made today will shape the Victoria we leave to the next generation. His Christian faith has underpinned a lifetime of service, guided by integrity, compassion and respect for every person.

Mike is standing with Family First because he believes strong families are the foundation of a strong society. He values the role Australia’s Judeo-Christian heritage has played in shaping our freedoms, democratic institutions and way of life.

He supports freedom of religion for all Australians, alongside a clear expectation that everyone respects Australian law, equality before the law and our democratic system. He believes Victoria must stand firm against extremism and divisive ideologies that undermine unity.

Mike is seeking election to the Legislative Council to hold governments to account, properly scrutinise legislation and ensure ordinary Victorians—not powerful vested interests—have a real voice.
