Currently, he continues to coach and mentor various community leaders nationwide. Additionally, Peter volunteers with Street Peace, where he engages with youth on the streets of Frankston.

An advocate for strong family values, Peter supports Lyle Shelton and the Family First Party, which emphasizes faith-based and family-oriented principles rooted in Christian-Judaic values. He believes that a nation's strength lies in its families.

In his early career, Peter worked as a physical education teacher and managed gymnasiums, contributing to the training of elite athletes alongside his father, Stan Nicholes OAM, an inductee into the Australian Sporting Hall of Fame. He is also part of the leadership team for Crosslink Christian Network, overseeing 165 churches in Australia and internationally.

Peter has traveled extensively to over 20 countries across Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, America, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. His travels have included speaking at conferences and engaging with grassroots communities.

His key issues include:

  • Freedom of speech: Advocating for protections in this nation, particularly for parents.
  • Family unit: Emphasizing its importance as the foundation of a strong society.
  • Youth identity: Focusing on providing the next generation with true identity and purpose to mitigate youth crime.
  • Cultural respect: Celebrating and unifying diverse cultures within Australia into one cohesive nation.

Because of his excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, Peter is dedicated to advocating for legislation that protects parents' rights to raise their children without undue government interference. His determination to defend and encourage families, faith, and the next generation across Australia is unwavering. These qualities make him a suitable candidate for Dunkley as he seeks to amplify the voices of families and uphold their values in Parliament.
