Philip Finau, Candidate for Mount Druitt

A husband, father of five, and proud Samoan-Australian who has called Mount Druitt home since childhood, Philip Finau has spent his life in service — to his family, his faith, his country, and his community.

Philip served ten years in the Australian Defence Force as an Infantryman with the 6th and 7th Royal Australian Regiments, deploying to Afghanistan with Mentoring Task Force 1. He left the military with diplomas in Security Risk Management and Business Administration, and has since devoted himself to his church and community as a pastor and junior sports coach.

Growing up in Mount Druitt, Philip saw first-hand the struggles of working-class families — tight budgets, housing pressure, youth crime, and a media narrative that rarely gave his community a fair hearing.

That is why Philip is standing for Family First — to give working-class families a fair go, defend the right of faith-based schools to operate according to their beliefs, and protect a public square where Christians are free to speak without fear of cancellation.

Having once sworn an oath to serve his country, Philip is ready to serve again — this time in parliament, for his faith, his family, and his community.

Philip is asking for your support to give Mount Druitt a strong, faithful voice in the New South Wales parliament.
