Pieter Swan, Candidate for Prospect

A husband, father, and committed Christian, Pieter Swan knows the Prospect community firsthand, having lived in Toongabbie and worked in Girraween. He understands Western Sydney and is passionate about serving the families who call it home.

For more than 20 years, Pieter has worked across biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and advanced manufacturing. He has led teams, managed complex operations, delivered major projects, and worked with government and industry to strengthen Australian capability in science and manufacturing. He currently works as a senior technical and commercial executive in Australia’s life sciences sector.

Pieter’s Christian faith shapes his understanding of human dignity, family, responsibility, freedom, and service to others. He believes every human life has inherent dignity from conception to natural death and is committed to protecting freedom of speech and religious liberty, parental rights, strong marriages and families, and children's wellbeing.

Pieter believes government should support families and communities rather than take over their responsibilities. He wants families in Prospect to have the opportunity to build secure lives, with relief from cost-of-living pressures, housing within reach, safe communities, good schools, opportunities for young Australians, and infrastructure that keeps pace with Western Sydney’s growth.

Pieter is standing for Family First because he believes strong families are the foundation of a strong nation. After more than two decades leading people and solving complex problems, he wants to put that experience to work serving Prospect.
