Pieter Swan, Candidate for Prospect

Pieter Swan is a husband, father, scientist, and executive leader with more than 20 years’ experience across biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, and regulated pharmaceutical environments in Australia. Based in New South Wales, he has built a career leading high-performing teams, delivering major projects, and strengthening Australian sovereign capability in life sciences and advanced therapeutics.

Holding qualifications in Biotechnology and Project Management, Pieter currently serves as Director, Technical & Commercial at RNA Australia Ltd, where he works to advance Australia’s RNA manufacturing, innovation, and commercialisation ecosystem. Throughout his career, he has led laboratory operations, GMP manufacturing programs, strategic industry partnerships, and multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects with a strong focus on operational excellence, accountability, and ethical leadership.

Pieter is standing with Family First Party Australia because he believes strong families are the foundation of a strong nation. Guided by his Christian faith and Judeo-Christian values, he is passionate about protecting freedom of speech, religious liberty, parental rights, and the dignity of every human life from conception to natural death.

He believes government should empower families, communities, churches, and local organisations — not replace them. Pieter is committed to policies that support affordable living, strengthen marriage and family life, improve opportunities for young Australians, and protect children from harmful ideological influences.

Outside of his professional work, Pieter is actively involved in his local church and community, where he mentors emerging leaders and supports initiatives that foster resilience, responsibility, and human flourishing. He is known for bringing people together across different perspectives, encouraging respectful debate, and leading with integrity, conviction, and compassion.

Pieter’s decision to enter politics comes from a deep concern for the future of Australia and a belief that courageous leadership is needed to restore common sense, protect fundamental freedoms, and ensure future generations inherit a nation that is prosperous, principled, and free.
