Sandra Briggs, Candidate for Paterson

Sandra Briggs is a business owner and the Family First candidate for Paterson in the upcoming Federal Election. Sandra is the eldest of six and grew up in Newcastle and the Hunter Region. Sandra and her husband Jason have been married for 28 years and have two adult children and many nieces and nephews. They enjoy gardening, fishing, camping, the Australian bush, travelling and large family gatherings.

Sandra is an Efficiency Consultant and Lean Coach. She has a Diploma in Frontline Management. Over 30 years, Sandra worked in many local industries including small to medium sized wholesale, retail and service business, trades, dealerships, tourism, scientific, medical and environmental research and non-profit, mining, insurance, manufacturing, university, primary and secondary education. Sandra’s husband Jason has had an extensive career in the Australian Army and NSW Police and joined Sandra in her business in 2021.

Sandra values the vital role that productive and profitable businesses have as the backbone of our Australian economy, supporting families to thrive with employment and resources to invest into our children – our future.

Sandra’s background positions her uniquely to address the challenges faced by business owners and working parents, who are juggling both careers, while raising a family and supporting their community.

Sandra passionately believes that:

  • strong marriages support strong families
  • strong families support a strong community
  • strong communities support a strong nation and a positive future for our children.

Sandra’s campaign is built on five core pillars:

  • freedom – protect life, restore freedom of speech and religion, rights of children, parents and families. It is imperative that we stand firm in our traditional Australian values which are deeply rooted in Christian-Judeo traditions to secure hope for future generations. We can’t allow our freedoms to be stolen by Social Marxist agendas. If we don’t stand up now, it will cost future generations dearly to win their freedom back.
  • faith – rights for individuals to choose their faith and parents to choose faith-based schools for their children. Protections for Christian and faith-based schools, hospitals, charities and churches to practice and employ according to their ethos.
  • family – parents, not the government, have the rights and responsibility of guiding their own children as they grow up. Supporting parents to afford to have more children and spend quality time with them.
  • education – school curriculum should focus on helping our children prepare for a strong economic and family focused future, free from radical ideology.
  • economic freedom – housing and energy affordability and reliability, reducing debt, inflation and tax burden, encourage business, cut government regulation, address homelessness.

Sandra is asking for your support in time and donations to give families in the Paterson Electorate a voice in our nation’s capital. She understands that your family needs a strong voice in the Parliament and commits to working hard to strengthen Paterson’s families and community.
