Family First strongly supports Libertarian MLC John Ruddick's bill in the NSW Parliament to ban sex-selective abortion. We are also grateful for Dr Joanna Howe's advocacy and work legislative initiatives such as this.

John Ruddick's bill is to be voted on the next day after this rally.

Dr Howe writes:

"Every year in New South Wales, thousands of unborn babies lose their lives to abortion - right through all 40 weeks of pregnancy.

In 2024 alone, 17,740 babies lost their lives to abortion in NSW.

This is not a distant issue. It is happening here. And it is happening now.

NSW law allows abortion through all 40 weeks of pregnancy.

We cannot stay silent.

This is our last chance to come together and demand change before the next NSW State Election in March 2027. 

This is our opportunity to send a clear message to every NSW MP: the public is watching, we will not accept abortion up to birth, and we expect our elected representatives to act.

This rally is our moment to be seen and to be heard. To stand for the unborn children who have no voice and to demand better from our state."
