Family First welcomes the Liberals’ decision to join minor parties like Family First in ditching Net Zero.
It’s about time. The Coalition under Scott Morrison should never had signed up.
No other economic policy is doing more harm to families, small business and the industry needed to sustain a future for our children.
Net zero is wrecking Australia.
It’s multi-trillion-dollar cost is already showing up in the highest electricity prices ever. Its needless destruction of the environment and agricultural land for an intermittent and fragile electricity system is pure folly.
Family First has long campaigned against Net Zero and this year’s National Conference in Sydney featured experts who excoriated it.

Despite 30 years of climate hysteria, there is no climate emergency and even leftist figures like Tony Blair and Bill Gates admit it.
The emperor has been parading naked for years but Labor, the Teals, Greens and so-called Liberal moderates continue to genuflect to his delusion.
The laws of physics do not allow a modern industrialised economy run on windmills and solar panels. Battery storage technology to power cities has not been invented.
Ask the Germans whose green dream ended in tears. Ask the Portuguese and Spanish who plunged the Iberian Peninsula into darkness.
No nation is meeting its Net Zero or Paris commitments. It’s a con.
Trump knows it. He’s determined to drill baby drill to power America with cheap and reliable energy.
That is the only path to prosperity.
The challenge now will be for the Coalition to take the fight up to Albanese Labor which continues to peddle the lie that it is cheaper to cover an area half the size of Victoria with windmills and solar panels joined together by thousands of kilometres of bulldozed bush to make way for transmission towers.
The Coalition must now join Family First and other minor parties fighting to get Australia back on track by:
Stopping the billions of dollars of taxpayer money to windmills, solar farms and electric vehicles;
Ensuring coal-fired power is ramped up to bring down electricity prices and stabilise the grid;
Using our coal, gas and uranium resources for Australians (exporting them for others to use overseas but not here has made no sense).
As Terry McCrann wrote, “Net Zero is the longest suicide note in history”.
It’s now time for all of us on the Centre Right to ensure Labor and Net Zero is destroyed at the next election.
