Flight upgrades and expensive homes for Labor’s leaders as families suffer

George Orwell couldn’t have scripted it better.

His famous allegory of Marxism, Animal Farm, ends with the ruling pigs betraying the other farmyard animals living in luxury high-on-the-hog in Mr Jones’ house, pun intended.

So too it seems with Australia’s student socialists who now run the country.

While mums and dads struggle to pay the high electricity prices created by their pursuit of climate ideology, the news cycle is dominated by the Prime Ministers’ obsession with personal flight upgrades and a cliff top beach house.

And learning nothing from the optics of Albo’s real estate moves, news has broken that Penny Wong has also splashed out on a $3.4 million house.

Family First doesn’t begrudge people, even politicians, doing well in life.

But when their political narrative is one of supposedly looking after the disadvantaged, but the reality of their policies is the opposite while they feather their own nests, then it needs to be called out.

Families are struggling because governments of both persuasions have created an electricity supply and price crisis, they have pushed up inflation because government spending is always petrol on the fire and they have mismanaged immigration and land supply resulting in chronic housing unaffordability.

Almost everything the current Labor government is doing, especially the renewables roll-out, is making everything more expensive.

Undisciplined spending is pushing Commonwealth debt to $1 trillion with no plan to pay it back.

Young people will bear the brunt of this intergeneration theft.

And it is almost impossible for a young couple to get a house, a trashing of the great Australian dream and our social contract with the next generation.

Instead of abandoning policies which exacerbate the problems, Labor doubles down while at the same time focussing on flight upgrades and expensive houses.

The party of the workers has abandoned them and its leaders seem only interested in their own perks.
