Family First believes in the biological reality of men and women, male and female. The altering of the Sex Discrimination Act in 2013 to include ‘gender identity’ has caused significant legal and safety issues for women and girls throughout Australia.
Gender ideology is also harming a whole generation of children.
We believe that Australians should not be compelled by law to pretend that men can be women and vice versa.
Family First will seek to:
- Amend the Sex Discrimination Act to remove the gender identity provisions introduced by the Gillard government in 2013;
- Protect the next generation by banning the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and ‘gender affirmation’ surgery on minors;
- Protect women and girls from biological males competing in female sports;
- Ensure girls' and women's private spaces are free from the intrusion of biological males.
- Remove gender identity as a protected category from all antidiscrimination legislation;
- Repeal all state legislation that allows for ad hoc changes of sex on birth certificates or similar legal documentation;
- Ensure all Australian passports and drivers license's state the person's biological sex;
- Abolish compulsory or coercive ‘diversity’ training and participation for public servants and employees of woke corporations;
- Stop the use of ‘preferred pronouns’ in email signature blocks of public servants;
- Cut public funding to events which support gender ideology and harm family resilience and stability. An example is the Sydney World Pride Festival which promoted animal fetish events alongside events targeting children.
