Govt form erases “mother” for “birthing parent”

A Liberal-Nationals government initiative to call mothers “birthing parents” has enraged a new mother.

Sall Grover recently gave birth to baby daughter Isabelle and was handed a Medicare records form that erased her status as mother.

So she crossed out “birthing parent” and wrote “mother”.

“Being called a ‘birthing parent’ on government forms is too close to A Handmaid’s Tale for my liking.”

“The fact is, this ideological language is being introduced to appease a very fringe group of people, many of whom are lobbyists and activists,” Grover said.

The Daily Telegraph reports that “the consent form was introduced in March” by the then Morrison Government “in some hospitals as part of a trial to upload new baby details to official Medicare records”.

“It asks for the ‘Birthing parent’s full name’ in one box, and the ‘Birthing parent’s signature’ in another,” the Telegraph reported.

Grover, who is the founder of women’s app Giggle, recently won a court battle to keep men appropriating women’s gender out of the on-line space she created.

The Medicare form she was given after the birth of her daughter has only added insult to injury.

Grover took to Twitter to write:

Attention women in Australia:

On the form to put our newborn baby on our Medicare card, we are referred to as “birthing parent”.

Enough is enough.

This absolute bullsh*t is exclusionary, alienating and derogatory towards every woman wants to be and is called “mother”.

Department of Health secretary Brendan Murphy was recently asked by Liberal Senator from South Australia, Alex Antic, to define “woman”.

In a farcical performance before Senate Estimates Murphy said the word “woman” was a “contested space at the moment”.

Sadly Antic is a marginalised figure in the Coalition and his common-sense advocacy has made little policy difference.

It is highly unlikely the Albanese Government, which is even more woke than the Liberals and Nationals, will amend the consent form.

Family First’s role is vital because Labor, the Coalition, Greens and teals are on a unity ticket when it comes to enforcing radical LGBTIQA+ ideology such as calling mothers “birthing parents” and “chest feeders”.

It’s only a matter of time before rainbow activists ban parents from “assigning gender” to their newborns, as LGBTIQA+ ideology believes only a child can know what gender he or she is.

The attack on family beginning with the erasure of women and motherhood has only accelerated since LGBTIQA+ activists succeeded in de-gendering marriage.
