Sport no place for radical rainbow politics

We love our sport but why does it have to push radical woke politics?

In the name of “inclusivity”, rugby league players at Manly are required to wear a jersey for “Pride round” which contains the colours of a political movement that wants to erase mothers on government forms with “birthing parents”.

This “inclusive” agenda also wants to exclude the concerns of people because they are from diverse religions and cultures.

It wants to teach all children that gender is fluid and rob some of the love of their mother or father through same-sex marriage.

No wonder seven players, who were blindsided by the decision when it was announced yesterday, have pushed back.

Media reporting suggests Manly players Josh Aloiai, Jason Saab, Christian Tuipulotu, Josh Schuster, Haumole Olakau’atu, Tolu Koula and Toafofoa Sipley will withdraw from Thursday night’s match against the Roosters.

Good on them.

They should be respected for their views and given the freedom to express them in the same way Muslim sports people are.

AFLW player for the Giants, Haneen Zreika, was allowed to sit out a “pride match” last year because of her Muslim beliefs about homosexuality and Australian cricketers were praised for respecting Usman Khawaja’s Muslim beliefs about alcohol during team celebrations after the Ashes win.

The National Rugby League and the AFL should stop trying to force the radical agenda of LGBTIQA+ political activists upon players and mainstream Australians.

Despite warnings at the time, Australians voted for same-sex marriage in 2017 not realising that erasing mothers, teaching children their gender is fluid, crushing free speech and ethically controversial commercial surrogacy was part of the package.

The rainbow political movement was only just getting warmed up and now mainstream Australians are finally waking up.

Woke media think the NRL is worried about a public backlash if players don’t wear the so-called “pride jersey”.

They should be more worried about a public backlash for ruining their sport by coercing players and the public to conform to the demands a radical political agenda.
