Taxpayer-funded abortion-to-birth not enough – Greens want more

The Greens are running a Senate Inquiry to expand access to the killing of unborn babies to birth, despite this being legal at taxpayer expense in most states.

Triggered by the recent US Supreme Court decision to democratise abortion policy by allowing elected state politicians a say, the Greens are worried pro-life ideas are spreading.

"In the wake of Roe v Wade, the federal government should look at what it can do to eliminate Australia's barriers to accessible and affordable abortion," Greens Senator Larissa Waters said.

With the support of Labor and the “modern Liberals”, the Senate Community Affairs References Committee is taking submissions until next Thursday December 15.

The Australian Christian Lobby has provided some resources to assist citizens to make a submission.

Family First urges all pro-life people demonstrate to politicians their support for human rights for unborn babies by making a submission.
