MEDIA RELEASE
Family First has announced the pre-selection of 14 candidates for the October 26 Queensland election, aiming to challenge the major parties' alignment with the Greens on radical policies that are out of step with mainstream families.
"Protecting children from inappropriate sexual and gender indoctrination and shielding families from rising power bills due to renewables are our top campaign priorities," stated Family First National Director Lyle Shelton.
"The Greens have pulled both the LNP and Labor into adopting radical social and unaffordable energy policies, leaving mainstream mums and dads behind," Mr Shelton added.
"LNP Leader David Crisafulli and his Attorney General Tim Nicholls are little different from the radical Greens and Labor on social issues, a fact not lost on many mainstream Queenslanders.
“On cost of living, despite knowing the high costs and inefficacy of renewables for powering modern cities, the LNP refuses to consider nuclear energy and supports economically damaging Green-Labor emissions targets."
Family First acknowledges it will be difficult to achieve parliamentary representation but is determined to push back against the Greens' influence on the major parties and give Queenslanders the chance to vote for their family’s values.
Crisafulli's captain's call to preserve extreme abortion-to-birth laws has shocked the pro-life community.
YouGov polling shows he is out of touch with most Queenslanders opposing the state’s radical abortion-to-birth laws.
