If elected, Family First Senators will move to ban the induction of children into harmful gender fluid ideology and LGBTIQA+ sexual expressionism in taxpayer-funded libraries.
The renewed commitment comes in the wake of news this week that the peak body for libraries is urging librarians to deceive parents about the truth of LGBTIQA+ drag queen story events.
Gender fluid ideology leads to the sterilisation and mutilation of children and under no circumstances is it appropriate to expose children to sexualised role models like LGBTIQA+ drag queens.
Yet the peak body for libraries, the Australian Library and Information Association, has told librarians to keep drag queen events for children “offline so people cannot find it there”, according to the Australian newspaper.
In a “freedom to read’’ document, librarians were told:
“You might consider alternative names (to drag queen story time) that are clear to your community but less obvious to outside interests, like ‘Being Me’, ‘My Family’ or ‘Everybody’s Storytime’.”
Family First believes it is never okay to deceive parents who are the primary carers of their children.
It’s even more egregious that this is occurring at taxpayers’ expense, as libraries are funded through council rates.
The ALIA justifies the deceit by saying it is necessary to avoid protests from the public of drag queen story time, claiming some libraries have even had bomb threats.
Obviously bomb threats and violent protests are to be condemned (Family First’s National Director is one of the few Australians to have suffered a politically motivated bombing when the Australian Christian Lobby was firebombed by a LGBTIQA+ activist in 2016).
However, it is deeply concerning that the peak body for Australia’s taxpayer-funded libraries is colluding with LGBTIQA+ political activists to indoctrinate children into harmful beliefs.
Family First’s Senate Team of Katie Lush (Qld), Lyle Shelton (NSW), Bernie Finn (Vic) and Christopher Brohier (SA) will move quickly, if elected, to protect children from LGBTIQA+ ideology and restore parents’ rights to object to such indoctrination.
At the up-coming federal election, Vote 1 Family First.
