Family First announces Christopher Brohier to lead South Australian Senate ticket

MEDIA RELEASE

Family First is pleased to announce that Adelaide Barrister Christopher Brohier will lead its South Australian Senate ticket in the upcoming federal election, with businesswoman Deepa Mathew as his running mate.

Christopher Brohier is a passionate advocate for key issues affecting Australian families, including cost of living pressures , religious freedom, and protecting children from harmful ideologies.

“Families are in a cost-of-living crisis, and one of the biggest drivers is unaffordable electricity,” Mr Brohier said.

“Family First will fight to bring back affordable, reliable energy for all Australians. Net zero policies are crippling our families and businesses, and it’s time to stand up for common-sense energy solutions.”

Christopher also highlighted Family First’s commitment to defending the rights of faith-based schools.

“It’s crucial that faith-based schools have the freedom to employ staff who align with their beliefs and values. Religious freedom is fundamental to a free society, and Family First will make sure that faith-based schools retain their right to uphold their ethos.”

On the protection of children, Christopher was clear: “Radical gender fluid ideology is harming young people in schools and clinics across Australia. Family First will campaign to ensure that children are protected from these harmful programs and practices, and we’ll put the best interests of the child at the heart of public policy.”

Christopher Brohier brings a wealth of experience to his candidacy. He recently concluded a term as National Director of Policy for the Australian Christian Lobby, where he played a pivotal role in advocating for Christian values and religious freedom in public policy.

His legal background and policy expertise make him a strong advocate for the issues that matter most to Australian families.

Christopher is married to Amanda, and they have four children a daughter in law and many young people they mentored.

His deep commitment to faith, family, life and freedom will be central to his campaign for the Senate.
